Four simple steps to register to vote from abroad
The Republicans Abroad Voting League website helps Americans living outside the USA to register to vote. US citizens living abroad can register to vote in the state where they last resided. These four simple steps will assist you in the process:
Step 1:
Fill out the Federal Post Card Application, Standard Form 76 (FPCA, SF 76) provided within this website, and mail (or submit by electronic transmission as permitted by your state) to your election official whose address can also be found in the website
Step 2:
You will be notified by your election official if the registration is approved or if further information is required. If you do not receive notification that your registration has been approved, you can check the status directly on your state’s web site.
Step 3:
If your registration has been accepted by your local election official by September 30 and you do not receive your ballot by October 8, you can use the Federal-Write-In Absentee Ballot which can be downloaded from this site.
Step 4:
Fill out your ballot and mail (or submit by electronic transmission) to your local election official in time to meet state deadlines.
